watercolors
Moses enjoys watercolor for its material properties (both viscous and fluid) which disavow indecision or revision. Since watercolor can’t be fixed, repaired or edited – it forces the artist to move through the medium. The tones, depths of intensity, and wetness, allow the colors to communication with one another. Yet, watercolor in its endless mutability also allows the artist to convey a wide range of emotional states and perspectives. Her fluid strokes appear improvisational, but they are arranged in meticulous union to create calming arrangements. Although small in scale these focused, tightly composed images create intimacy, evoking interiority.
